I am an Associate Research Scientist in Biomedical Informatics Research Center at Marshfield Clinic Research Institute. I mostly work and collaborate with the BIRC awesome Director, Dr. Peggy Peissig. I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science Department, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA, where I was extremely fortunate to have the thesis committee of Prof. Zeyun Yu (Advisor), Prof. Ethan Munson, Prof. Ichiro Suzuki, Prof. Ramin Pashaie, and Dr. Heather Owen. I was a visiting student in the Computational Visualization Center at the University of Texas at Austin during May 2016. In the third year of my graduate study (Summer 2015), I worked as a research intern in the Center for Human Genetics at Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation, working on big data biomedical text mining for cancer research. In conjunction with my affiliation at Marshfield Clinic Research Institute, I am also a faculty trainer in Computation and Informatics in Biology and Medicine at University of Wisconsin-Madison. One of my life passions is to work closely with my colleagues and peers to learn their experiences and share with them. My lifetime hobbies have been spending time with my bountiful family, reading, and cycling. I often publish under Ahmad P. Tafti and/or A. P. Tafti .
