Abstract: Clinic practice process improvement in healthcare is often done without systematic measuring processes. Thus, it is difficult to monitor the impact of process improvement efforts. The automatically generated EHR audit log data could serve as a scalable resource towards healthcare process improvement. However, the data are inordinately complex and difficult to organize into intuitive representations of work tasks. In this work, we apply the PARAFAC2 method to rapidly translate such data into work task information.

Learning Objective 1: Understanding how tensor factorization can be used to transform EHR audit data to work tasks towards clinic practice process improvement
