Abstract: In a large, diverse distributed research network such as the National Patient Centered-Clinical Research Network (PCORnet), reusable tools require a thoughtful development process incorporating stakeholder input and robust testing to support execution in technically diverse computing ecosystems. Enhancements to PCORnet’s Modular Program 1 were developed in collaboration with partners and served to improve efficiency and facilitate easier output review and subsequent partner governance and approval process.

Learning Objective 1: Describe the PCORnet process to enhance Modular Program 1

Learning Objective 2 (Optional): Identify key Network Partner computing ecosystem variability and describe need for robust internal and external testing

Learning Objective 3 (Optional): Summarize key improvements with release of PCORnet Modular Program 1 version 2
