Abstract: For trials related to quality, electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) may facilitate measurement. We asked 209 practices to leverage their Electronic Health Record systems to report eCQM data. Our objective is to understand the impact of varying measurement period on the calculation of outcomes measures for this trial. The eCQM measurement periods were categorized into standard periods (one-year) and non-standard. ANOVA analysis shows that three of the four measures were statistically different between groups.
Learning Objective 1: To understand the impact of varying measurement period on the calculation of outcomes measures for a primary care quality improvement initiative.
