Description

Abstract: We examine the feasibility of using a merged multi-site EHR repository of structured data to calculate clinical quality measures as a method to measure population health. We observed that 38% of measures could be calculated using structured data alone, and calculated measures were within range of known national benchmarks. The remaining measures required use of behavioral screening, intervention plan, and/or clinical/exam notes. Future research will explore methods of capturing this data in structured fields

Learning Objective 1: To understand the feasibility of using structured data in a merged, multi-site, EHR repository to calculate clinical quality measures as a method to measure population health

Learning Objective 2 (Optional): To understand what non-structured data is required to calculate clinical quality measures and examine where this information may be stored in the EHR
