Abstract: Maximum Relevance Minimum Redundancy algorithm was applied to gene expression profiles from 32 colorectal adenomas samples with matched controls. With 41 differentially expressed genes, we constructed a molecular interaction network. 591 genes are enriched on the shortest paths. Functional enrichment analysis showed that bicarbonate transportation and apoptotic process are closely related to the precancerous lesions of colorectal cancer. These results bring new insights of understanding the molecular characteristics of colorectal adenoma and the carcinogenesis process.
